JE earns 2019 Best Community for Music Education for seventh consecutive year

For the seventh consecutive year, the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation (NAMM) designated Jordan-Elbridge as a "Best Community for Music Education (BCME)." JE joins 622 other districts across the nation.

Winning districts set the bar in offering students access to comprehensive music education.

Now in its 20th year, the awards program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the curriculum. According to the organization, designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

“It is a tribute to the great community, student body, faculty and administration that we can continue to receive this recognition every year,” said instrumental music teacher Zachary Moser.

“Writing to NAMM about the many offerings and accomplishments of our music department and reflecting on what we do here brought me a great sense of pride.”   The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants and its approximately 10,400 members around the world. The foundation advances active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving, and public service programs.
