Voters also elected three candidates for three open Board of Education seats.

  • Karen Guerrette, 282 votes
  • William Childres, 272 votes
All will serve three-year terms.

"We are thankful to all of our community members who came out and voted today,” said Superintendent James Froio.

“Our residents should be proud of the fact that they have helped create a school district that offers remarkable opportunities to its students.”

The approved budget carries a 1.65 percent tax levy increase, which falls below the district's calculated tax levy limit of 4.24 percent, per the state's property tax levy cap law. The budget also increases spending by 2.57 percent from the current operating plan.
