Provisional Data Center Help Desk Operator:  This is a 12 month position starting July 1, 2021.  Salary is $19.00 per/hour. Full Benefits, including health, dental, & vision. Position is eligible for the NYS Local retirement system. Duties include, but not limited to, providing support on instructional applications, managing technologies webpage. Scheduling, set-up and supporting video conferences and in person meetings. First tier technology support and troubleshooting.  District technology inventory tracking.  Preparing departmental procedures and compliance.  This is a provisional civil service competitive position. You must meet the required qualifications to be considered and take the Civil Service Data Center Help Desk Operator test when made available, pass and be placed on the DCHDO list.  Must be reachable on the list. Required Qualifications: Successful completion of fifteen (15) credit hours in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college, university, trade or business school; or, One (1) year of work experience, or its part time equivalent, in a Help Desk or user support environment which must have included problem analysis and/or providing direct user support for problem/question resolution.
Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with Windows 10 operating system. Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel. Familiarity with Google Workspace apps. Familiarity Chromebooks and Apple iOS devices.
