JEHS to Host Perennial Math Tournament for Grades 3-8

Jordan-Elbridge Central School District is thrilled to announce the upcoming Perennial Math Tournament, an exciting and challenging competition designed for students in grades 3-8. This event, which will be hosted at Jordan-Elbridge High School, aims to foster a love for mathematics and critical thinking skills among young learners, encouraging them to explore the fascinating world of numbers and problem-solving.

What to Expect:
The Perennial Math Tournament promises an engaging and educational experience for participants. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their mathematical prowess through a series of thought-provoking problems and collaborative challenges. The event is designed to promote teamwork, creativity, and a positive attitude towards mathematics.

The competition consists of an individual test with 15 questions to be solved in 30 minutes and a team test with 10 questions to be solved in 20 minutes. Individual and team awards will be given. Teams are composed of 5 students. All tournament winners are eligible for National Championships in May.

Who Can Participate:
Students from grades 3-8 are invited to participate in this friendly competition. Whether they are budding mathematicians or simply enjoy solving problems, the tournament welcomes students of all skill levels. Teams will be formed based on grade levels, allowing for fair and equitable competition.

There is no cost to you or your child! JECSD will cover the cost of registration and a T-shirt for your child.
