PUBLISHING PICTURES/VIDEOS:
The Jordan-Elbridge Central School District encourages the positive promotion of its students and their achievement in a number of ways, including the taking of photographs/videos to be used in celebrating our learning community. The District recognizes that, in some cases, it is not prudent for pictures of students to be published. Therefore, a system will be put in place to assist parents/legal guardians in protecting their child(ren).
The Superintendent or his/her designee shall develop a district-wide procedure to provide consistency among the schools of the district. Such procedure shall include the following provisions:
a) A “deny release” provision for pictures/videos in which parents/legal guardians may indicate their wishes regarding the publishing of pictures of their child(ren) on the district website, in the district newsletter, or in any other media that cover school events.
