Students might join the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for several reasons: Academic Recognition: NJHS acknowledges academic achievement, motivating students to maintain high grades. Leadership Opportunities: Membership provides chances to develop leadership skills through various activities and projects. Community Service: NJHS encourages community involvement, allowing students to make a positive impact and learn the value of giving back. Character Development: The society emphasizes the importance of good character, helping students cultivate integrity and responsibility. College and Career Readiness: Being part of NJHS can enhance a student's resume and college applications, showcasing commitment and excellence. Peer Networking: It offers a chance to connect with like-minded peers who value academic and personal growth. Club: Ski and Snowboard Club

Meeting Place: Bus takes us from MS to Lab Mountain and back to HS by 10:00 PM
Summary of activities: Teach new kids how to put on equipment and dress for the conditions. Direct kids to lessons and then take them up on the mountain for instruction with advisors on skis and snowboarding. We teach the kids how to get on and off ski lift, guide them to trails that are their skill level and how to enjoy the thrill of blasting through powder, glades, moguls, and awesome groomed corduroy trails.

Summary of activities: We serve the entire student body. The council and the classroom reps are elected to office by providing speeches to their classmates as to why they should hold those offices. Joining Student Council gives students a chance to have their voice heard, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on the school and community. Plus, it's a great way to meet new friends and get involved!

Summary of activities: Students will explore facets of school life (i.e. belonging, connection, personalization, etc) they would like to improve in the school. Students select one facet to revamp over the course of the school year. Also, students participate in belonging-based activities, such as SEL games and dialogue circles.

Summary of activities: Our Running Club meets twice a week to train, build endurance, and have fun while staying active. We warm up, run different routes around campus, and practice pacing and goal setting. The season finishes with a fun run at the cross country course to celebrate all of our hard work.

Summary of activities: In LEGO League, students work together to design, build, and program LEGO robots to solve real-world challenges. They learn teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving while exploring science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun, hands-on way.

Summary of activities: This organization puts on a staged musical. Students can either audition for a role or help in stage crew. Cast members are responsible for reading the rehearsal schedule, practicing their singing, dancing, and lines of dialogue. They use their choral skills to sing solo or in an ensemble and learn about their roles. Students in stage crew learn about the technical aspects of musical theatre and help move set pieces, operating the curtains, lights, soundboard, microphones, etc.

Summary of activities: Jazz Band is a performing arts ensemble that is open to all students who are interested in exploring jazz music. Students learn a variety of styles, including swing, blues, Latin, and funk, while building skills in improvisation, rhythm, and ensemble playing. The Jazz Band performs at school concerts and community events, offering students the chance to grow as musicians in a creative and supportive environment.

Summary of activities: Modern Band gives students the chance to play popular music in a band setting using instruments like guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals. Open to all skill levels, Modern Band focuses on learning songs from rock, pop, hip-hop, and other contemporary genres. Students collaborate to choose songs, rehearse together, and perform at school events.
