Non-Instructional/Civil Service Positions - Currently Hiring

Account Clerk II (Full-Time): Our school district is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to process payroll and support benefits operations. This full-time position plays an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Salary for this 12 month position is $24.00 per hour, 5 days a week, 7:30 am-4pm. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick and personal time.  Excellent Benefit Package Including: - Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Free Vision Insurance, Membership in the NYS Local Retirement System

Additional benefits are Aflac, 403B, and Flex Spending. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll on a regular schedule
• Enter and maintain employee payroll, benefits, and related financial records
• Manage timekeeping and leave records
• Process employee changes, including hires and separations
• Assist with payroll reports, taxes, and required filings
• Respond to staff questions regarding payroll and paychecks

Minimum Qualifications (Civil Service) - Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Promotion: One (1) year of permanent competitive class status in the title of Account Clerk I or Account Clerk-Typist I.

• A.Two (2) years of account keeping work experience or its part-time equivalent, the major job function of which is the maintenance of financial accounts, which must have included reconciling and posting to ledgers, journals and other accounting records, or the processing and maintenance of fiscal transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and statistical data and records; or,
• B.Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance.
• C. Successful completion of 12 semester credit hours in accounting, finance or business administration.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent data entry and accuracy skills
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay focused and organized in a fast paced environment
• Prior payroll or office experience preferred

Part-Time School Lunch Monitor: $16.00 per hour -  Monday- Friday 10:30 am - 1:30 pm at Elbridge Elementary School.  Must show an ability to get along effectively with students. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
