Instructional/Certified Positions Currently Hiring

Teaching Assistant: $22.75 per hour – JE is looking for a TEACHING ASSISTANT. Experience working with students with a wide variety of academic, emotional, and behavioral needs is highly desirable. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with other staff and be able to adjust to changes in students and schedules when needed. NYS Teaching Assistant certification is required.

Non-Instructional/Civil Service Positions - Currently Hiring

Provisional Network Administrator (Full-Time) - $65,345.00 a year.  Our school district is seeking a skilled, dependable, and solutions-oriented professional to manage and support the district’s network and technology infrastructure. This full-time position plays an important role in ensuring reliable, secure, and effective technology services for students, staff, and administration.

Civil Service Job Code:   03755 - Help program may apply - but may need to sit for a test and be reachable.  

Key Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot District network infrastructure, including Cisco/Cisco Meraki switches, wireless, routers, firewalls, and related systems

Administer servers including windows and VMWare, storage, backups, and disaster recovery systems

- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows 11 environments

- Manage Google Admin Console and Chromebook management

- Monitor network and system performance and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and infrastructure issues

- Support District cybersecurity, endpoint protection, patching, and security monitoring

- Serve as an escalation point for the district help desk and provide advanced technical support to staff

- Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, system configurations, equipment, and procedures

- Assist with technology projects, upgrades, system implementations, and vendor coordination

 

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and professional experience

- Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in network and systems administration preferred

- Experience with network administration, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and cybersecurity

- K-12 school district experience preferred

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to explain technical information to users with varying levels of technical experience

- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and technology support personnel

- Willingness to participate in occasional evening, weekend, or emergency technology support

Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft certifications, or other relevant industry certifications.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee must be able to:

·   Lift and move technology equipment weighing up to approximately 45 pounds.

·   Work in equipment rooms and other areas associated with technology infrastructure.

·   Travel between District buildings as required.

·   Work occasional evenings, weekends, or outside normal business hours for system maintenance, emergency outages, cybersecurity incidents, or other critical technology needs.

Substitute Teachers:    Certified Teacher’s salary is $19.00 per hour ($142.50 per day for 7.5 hours) 
Non-Certified teacher's salary is $17.00
per hour.  Non-certified qualifications require a associates degree in any area.
