Elbridge Elementary students practice for remote learning day

In early October, the students in pre-kindergarten through grade 3 at Elbridge Elementary participated in a remote learning simulation day in anticipation of a remote learning day on Oct. 30.

The district will hold a remote learning day on Oct. 30 for pre-kindergarten through grade 8. Students at the high school will be learning in person that day.

At Elbridge Elementary, teachers prepared lessons and activities for students to practice their technology skills. Students also wore pajamas to school to make the simulation even more authentic. 

“The students accessed a variety of lessons throughout the day. It was good because we had the opportunity to troubleshoot technology issues for students and teachers,” said principal Brooke Bastian.

“It was a success because teachers and students were able to solve problems together in the moment.”
