Students in grades 6-7 write letters to veterans

The students in grades 6-7 in Lynette DelFavero’s social and emotional learning class wanted to do something nice for local veterans this year.

So each student wrote or colored “thank you” notes that will be added to a Thanksgiving gift box that veterans will be receiving through the Clear Path for Veterans organization in Chittenango.

The organization serves as a hub of information, programs and resources for veterans and their families.

Additionally, the students in Drew Deapo’s grade 6 individuals and societies (social studies) class posed with a “thank you, veterans” banner and recorded some messages of thanks to veterans.
