Meet the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2021

Jordan-Elbridge High School is honoring Kasey Jackson and Francesca Brown as the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the class of 2021. Both say the support of their teachers got them to where they are today.

Kasey Jackson is the class of 2021 Valedictorian. During her time at Jordan-Elbridge High School, she’s participated in science Olympiad, varsity basketball and band. Kasey is a member of the National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society. When she’s not in school, Kasey enjoys bowling in a league, where she has competed in tournaments. Kasey also practices martial arts and has received the rank of first-degree black belt. Kasey enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing games, solving puzzles and traveling. She says JEHS has given her the resources she needed to excel.

“I would not be in the position I am without the help of the wondrous, wise, and compassionate teachers I have been able to study under,” said Kasey.

Kasey plans to study computer engineering post-graduation.

Class of 2021 Salutatorian Francesca “Frankie” Brown is a marching band and drumline member. She’s also participated in Master Minds and art club. Frankie spent most of her extracurricular time in the theater program and scouting. When Frankie has free time outside of school, she enjoys spending it outdoors with friends. Frankie plans to attend SUNY Potsdam in the Fall to study music education and math.

“I had a lot of really great teachers through my years at Jordan-Elbridge, and I don’t think I would have chosen the path I’m on without all of their support and passion for their jobs, inspiring me every step of the way,” said Frankie.

She hopes to someday become certified to teach both music and math.
