JE launches Creator's Workshop series for students
JE students are asked to share their creativity with a new workshop series led by Language and Literature teacher Ms. Glantz. The Creator's Workshop is just for fun, with no grades or homework included.Students are encouraged to submit creative art or writing pieces, which will then be featured in JE's newly established digital and print publication, I.AM. Creative Works Magazine. Students in grades 7-12 can participate, and there will be 6th grade and faculty spotlights.
Each month will feature a new theme, but students don't need to stick to the theme or attend the monthly workshop to submit their work. October's theme is FEAR.
A Student Editorial Board will help select which pieces will be published, based on internationally supported literary merit criteria. The magazine will be recruiting submissions all year. Students are encouraged to email Ms. Glantz any time to submit their work.
