Class of 2022 scrapbooking fundraiser a success
From the Class of 2022,
Our scrapbook fundraiser on Saturday, March 12 was quite successful, thanks to several of students and their parents. We worked very hard to pull it all together, and despite the terrible weather, 6 vendors and 36 out of 42 registered scrap-bookers came out to raise over $1500 in profit! It was not as much as I had hoped, but considering that the weather cost us over $200 and profits are still coming in, we did pretty well and didn’t have to spend a penny to do it.
Most of you probably have no idea how “big” scrapbooking is, nor how much money people spend on it, but if you know of anyone who does it, believe me, it can raise us some good money. I am an advisor for Creative Memories and will donate a portion of any sales between now and June 1st to the class, so if you or anyone you know is interested, use this link to shop. You may also shop with Caroline Dixon (see the vendors below).
Thank you to the following people who donated their time and hard work to make this event a success:

Thank you to our custodians for all of their help in ensuring that we could put this day together. They put in plenty of work both beforehand and during the event–especially the plowing and shoveling! Maurice Bigness, Jason Loomis, Chris Washco, and Vinny Smith, but especially Brenda Klaben.
Also, thank you to Bob Tackman, Kevin Mayer, and Tim Downing from the Elbridge Fire Department for their help with arranging for extra tables.
Thank you to Mr. Schermerhorn, Mr. Stadtmiller, and Mr. Froio for their support, as well as other clubs–IPE, musical, and color guard–for their cooperation and sharing of students.
Thank you to the scrap-bookers who braved the weather and spent the day with us to support our students. It means so much to us!
Finally, a HUGE thank you to my husband, Ed Hourigan, who spent 5 hours on Friday and 2 more hours on Saturday setting up and tearing down the event with me. He has no stake in this at all.
If I have forgotten anyone, I sincerely apologize. Putting this event together is a huge undertaking, and the snowstorm added some major stress! Please let me know if I have missed someone.
Thank you all,
Karen Hourigan
