Meet the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2022

Help us in congratulating the valedictorian and salutatorian of the Class of 2022!

Bayleigh Clark is the class of 2022 valedictorian. Throughout her time at JEHS, Bayleigh was a JE Musical Player, a member of the drama club, marching band, and participated in multiple other music-focused co-curricular activities. She also was Student Council President, and winner of the National Shakespeare Competition her senior year. Bayleigh plans to earn a BFA in Theatre and Performance post-graduation, and hopes to someday become an actress.

"My music teachers throughout my school career have inspired my drive and passion for music and performing. They gave me a second home where I can be myself and do something I love," explained Bayleigh.

Bayleigh thanked her parents for their support as she chased her dreams. She also gave a shout out to teachers Mr. Kufs, Mrs. Hourigan and Mrs. Rumpf, who she said have helped her grow into the person she is today.

Class of 2022 salutatorian Elora Kunz is a JE Musical Player, member of the drama club, marching band and Winterguard. Elora is also president of the class of 2022, and has participated in the National Shakespeare Competition throughout her high school career. Elora hopes to earn a Masters in Music Education, and go on to become a secondary music teacher.

"I’m inspired by all my teachers, but specifically my music teachers Mr. Moser, Mr. Sparkes, and Mrs. Deapo because they’ve always been there for me when I needed it and they are the reason that I decided I want to be a music teacher," said Elora.

She also credited her parents and her uncle Jake for helping her succeed throughout the years. She called them well-rounded and kind, and said she hopes her life will be as rewarding as theirs.
