JE Staff and Students Brave Heat on First Day of School

The students and staff at Jordan-Elbridge Central School District displayed unwavering determination and resilience as they returned to their classrooms amidst hot temperatures, marking the official start of the academic year. Despite the heatwave that has swept through the region, the entire school community demonstrated their commitment to education and their enthusiasm for the new school year.

With the bright morning sun peeking out over the horizon, seniors from the class of 2024 gathered outside the field house to have a sunrise breakfast. Soon after that, students of all ages arrived, filled with enthusiasm and curiosity for the year ahead. Parents, teachers, and administrators joined in welcoming them back with open arms, creating an atmosphere of warmth and anticipation.

"The first day of school is a momentous occasion for our students, staff, and their families," said Superintendent of Schools James Froio. "We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to JE, and we have worked tirelessly this summer to ensure a safe and engaging environment for all. It's going to be an extraordinary year of growth and achievement."
