JECSD Welcomes New School Resource Officer Thomas Haumann

The Jordan-Elbridge Central School District is excited to welcome First Sergeant Thomas Haumann as our new School Resource Officer (SRO)! After an impressive 30-year career with the New York State Police, SRO Haumann recently retired and is now bringing his wealth of experience and commitment to safety to our school community.

SRO Haumann has lived in the district for over a decade, making him not only a familiar face but also someone who deeply understands our community. His son is a student in the district, further strengthening his connection to Jordan-Elbridge. With his background in law enforcement and his personal ties to the area, SRO Haumann is sure to make a positive impact on both students and staff.

His primary role will be to ensure the safety and security of our schools while building relationships with students, fostering trust, and serving as a positive role model. You may spot him around the halls of our schools or at district events, so be sure to say hello and give him a warm JE welcome!
