Culture Club Brings the World to Jordan-Elbridge Middle School

The Jordan-Elbridge Middle School Culture Club continues to delight students with its monthly explorations of global cultures. Yesterday, students savored the flavors of Belgium, indulging in a variety of snacks, treats, and sweets unique to the country. This hands-on cultural experience allows students to broaden their horizons while enjoying a fun, interactive activity.

The club meets once a month after school and uses Universal Yums snack boxes to explore different countries. Universal Yums sends curated boxes filled with delicious and unique snacks and candies from a different country every month—many of which are difficult or impossible to find in the United States. But the adventure doesn’t stop at the snacks! Each box also includes an interactive guidebook packed with trivia, games, recipes, cultural facts, and more, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

“These sessions are such a fun way for students to experience the world,” said club advisor Christine Klamm. “They’re not just tasting new flavors—they’re learning about history, geography, and culture in a way that’s memorable and engaging.”

The Culture Club aligns seamlessly with the MYP International Baccalaureate education provided at the school, fostering global awareness and an appreciation for cultural diversity. If today’s journey through Belgium is any indication, the Culture Club is sure to remain a favorite for students eager to taste and learn their way around the globe!
