Jordan-Elbridge Celebrates 40th Annual Dollars for Scholars Ceremony
Nearly 40 seniors from Jordan-Elbridge High School were honored on Sunday afternoon at the 40th Annual Dollars for Scholars Ceremony. The event recognized students for their hard work, leadership, and academic achievement as they prepare to take the next step into college or the workforce after graduation.
The ceremony is part of a proud local tradition that began in 1985 with the formation of the Jordan-Elbridge chapter of Dollars for Scholars, a program of Scholarship America. Scholarship America is the nation’s largest nonprofit, private-sector scholarship and educational support organization, founded on the belief that every student deserves access to higher education, regardless of their financial situation.
Since its founding, the Jordan-Elbridge Dollars for Scholars chapter has awarded over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in scholarships to JEHS graduates. This incredible milestone reflects the generosity of local donors, businesses, and community members who continue to invest in the future of JE students year after year.
“Each of these scholarships represents more than just financial support—it’s a message to our students that their community believes in them and is cheering them on,” said Jordan-Elbridge Superintendent James Froio.
The day was filled with proud moments, heartfelt recognition, and excitement for what lies ahead for the Class of 2025. As students prepare for college, trade schools, and careers, the support from the Dollars for Scholars program plays a vital role in helping them succeed.
