JEHS Celebrates Fall Varsity Athletes at Annual Awards Night
The Jordan-Elbridge community came together to celebrate the accomplishments of its fall varsity athletes during the annual Fall Varsity Sports Awards, held last night at the high school.
Athletes from football, boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, cheerleading, boys and girls cross country, golf and girls tennis were recognized for their hard work, dedication and sportsmanship. Each athlete received a certificate presented by their coach, and special individual trophies were awarded to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements throughout the season.
Highlights from this fall included the defending league champion girls volleyball team defeating Hannibal in the Class C sectional quarterfinals, advancing to face Bishop Ludden-Grimes in the semifinals on Wednesday, November 5, where they’ll look to pull off the upset and continue their postseason run. The varsity cheerleading team also made waves, finishing third at the Section III Championships this past Saturday in Sandy Creek.
The district is proud to offer such a wide range of athletic opportunities for students and continues to celebrate the hard work and commitment of its student-athletes both on and off the field. Go, Eagles!
