Replacement of Policy Number:

The School District shall provide, directly or by contract, special services and/or programs during July and August to those students whose disabilities are severe enough to exhibit the need for a structured learning environment of twelve months duration in order to prevent substantial regression as determined by the Committee on Special Education or Committee on Preschool Special Education. Written consent of the parent is required prior to initial provision of special education services in a twelve-month special service and/or program.
