Demonstrating the IB learner profile traits, the students went above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of others within the community. As part of their ongoing exploration of the IB learner profile, the students embraced the value of being caring individuals. Striving to exhibit qualities such as empathy, compassion, and respect towards the needs and feelings of others, the Year 1 students took tangible action to extend their care beyond the school premises.

JEDIS/JEMS Student Council Hilarious Holiday Fundraiser JEDIS/JEMS Student Council Hilarious Holiday Fundraiser: Jordan Elbridge Middle School and the JEDIS Student Council are hosting an annual holiday fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Students in grades 4-8 can sponsor a JEMS/JEDIS staff member with $1 or more. The staff member who earns the most money will have to wear a hilarious inflatable holiday costume on December 21st! The funds are then donated to St. Jude's. Last year we raised over $500 for children with cancer. Because of donations like ours, the families of children receiving care at St. Jude's never receive a bill and are even provided meals and transportation when their child undergoes prolonged treatment. EE Revives Cherished Tradition: First Graders Walk Down to Elbridge Free Library for Library Cards EE Revives Cherished Tradition: First Graders Walk Down to Elbridge Free Library for Library Cards: Elbridge Elementary is delighted to announce the revival of a beloved tradition that brings joy to the hearts of both students and the local community. Throughout the month of October, first graders made their way to the Elbridge Free Library to receive their library cards. This tradition, which began in 2008, was temporarily discontinued in 2017 due to the tragic loss of a beloved teacher. Now, after five years of absence, it has been being joyously reinstated. In 2008, first grade teacher Mike Gallagher started the tradition by walking his class the 0.3 miles down E. Main St. to Elbridge Free Library, so students could not only receive their library cards, but also tour the building and gain a comfortability within the rows of books.
