JEMS students publish Words of Wisdom service project:
Jordan-Elbridge Middle School students have completed their recent Words of Wisdom service project and are now showing off their finished publication. The final product comes just in time for Valentine's Day. Students said they wanted to show some love to the JE community as a thank you for participating.
JE community members were asked to share some wisdom with students through an online survey. After, students put to use multiple International Baccalaureate learning traits to develop the infographic you see below. Following the initial creation of the survey and collection of data, students analyzed the findings, used a majority vote policy to narrow down their top ten selections, and then classified everything into three categories. JEHS students participate in National Shakespeare Competition:
Jordan-Elbridge High School students are once again participating in the National Shakespeare Competition through the English-Speaking Union following a one-year pause of the program. Bayleigh Clark, Elora Kunz, and Haylee Salmonsen all auditioned this year.
“The competition was so fierce this year that the judges were deadlocked for two days,” said English teacher Katie Eldridge.
The first round of the competition takes place within JEHS. It was unique this year, as students recorded a monologue instead of performing in front of an audience. A panel of JE teachers was tasked with watching the recordings and choosing a winner. This year, that winner was Bayleigh Clark.

NJHS raises more than $500 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital:
Great job to the National Junior Honor Society, as the group celebrates the success of a recent fundraiser. NJHS hosted its annual Hilarious Holiday Fundraiser last month to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and surpassed its goal of raising $500 for children and families battling cancer and other illnesses.
Thanks to the donation, the hospital was able to purchase several red wagons for their patients. These wagons are used to carry small children back to their rooms to rest after receiving chemotherapy treatments. The children are usually very tired after the chemo, but their eyes light up when they see the wagons, decked out in soft, colorful blankets, stuffed toys, and ribbons. Due to the NJHS' hard work, children and their families at St. Jude's Hospital had ...
